About the Author
Shaun Parry spent twenty-five years in New York City building a career as a Broadway performer.
On September 11, 2001, he made his way to Ground Zero, where he spent the following week helping establish one of the first temporary morgues and searching for survivors beneath the rubble of the World Trade Center. His account offers the rare perspective of a civilian volunteer who worked alongside first responders during the rescue effort.
In 2007, Shaun founded Promethean Spark International, a nonprofit organization that uses the performing arts to teach life skills and leadership to impoverished and at-risk youth around the world.
He is also the author of Auditioning for Life: Success Strategies Learned from Broadway Auditions.
